Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is the evidence-based program that has been helping people reduce suffering and improve overall quality of life for over four decades. Developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, MBSR combines centuries old human wisdom supported by modern neuroscience. MBSR is more than an app, a mantra or a guided meditation. It is an intensive 8-week program that helps people develop greater emotional regulation, and improve self awareness, self compassion and self care. It also helps develop focus, clear communication, and opens our natural capacities for learning, creativity, problem solving, collaborating, and decision making. The benefits of mindfulness are experienced as “wellbeing” in our bodies, hearts, and minds, benefiting all of the lives we touch every day. If you experience, stress (and who doesn’t?) MBSR can help you find fresh new ways to navigate life!
