Geri will be away Tuesday August 9, 2011.  Sitting for that date is canceled.  We will meet August 16th and 23rd and that will conclude Summer Sitting for this year.  I am grateful for everyone who came to practice together this summer.

Calvary Lutheran Church, park and enter at south door by the playground.  Signs will guide you.

Orientation  and  Registration (Required) 6:00-7:00pm Tuesday August 30, 2011  Follow signs to the classroom!

Classes 1-4   6:00-8:30pm  September  6,13, 20, and 27

There will be a three week break for the remainder of October 2011

Classes 5-8    6:00-8:30pm November 1, 8, 15, and  22

All day Silent Retreat   9:00am-4:00pm Saturday November 12

Tuition:  $295 Includes the text, all 10 sessions, and class handouts.   Repeat the course for half price!

Summer Sitting is underway at Calvary Lutheran church. Tuesdays, 5:30–6:30pm. Calvary Lutheran is the big gray and green church on the east side of Washington Ave. (HWY 71 so.) Go to the south entrance (as you face the main entrance, it is toward your right.) There is a kids playground and a parking lot near the door we will be using. There will be a sign on the door to make it easy to find. I’ve ordered cushions but they are not here yet, so bring a blanket or cushion for sitting. There are plenty of chairs available. See you Tues. at 5:30!

Just a reminder to bring a cushion or blanket for sitting on the floor.  Chairs will be available for those wanting to use them.  I’m working on getting cushions at the site, but for now, its BYO.  Calvary Lutheran Church is located on Washington Avenue (HWY 71 South) on the East side of the street, across from the Evangelical Free Church.  It is a complex of gray/green buildings.  Park and enter the building on the south side.  I will have signs up to guide you.  See you at 5:30

Meet with others who are establishing a meditation practice.  This will be a simple, practical  “in and out” practice opportunity.  The door will be opened at 5:30, locked at 5:40 followed by a 40 minute silent sitting meditation.  We will spend 10 minutes visiting, and will be on our way to our summer evening activities by 6:30! Join in any evening that works for you!

Where:  Calvary Lutheran Church  Washington Ave.  South of  Bemidji, south parking lot, south entrance.  Look for the sign on the door. The church is on the east  side of the street, across from Evangelical Free Church.

Why:  Supporting meditation practice by meeting with others who meditate.
