But consider another option: Winter is a great time to hunker down and learn mindfulness skills that can serve you all year long! After three decades of research Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction has gained recognition as a primary evidence-based approach to reducing stress and increasing functioning. If you have been interested in addressing the stress in your life in new ways, MBSR may be for you! The course is based on the 8 week curriculum developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, and taught since 1979 at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine Health Care and Society at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
