Good news for all who become just plain exhausted trying to give 110% to our lives: 100% is just fine! In fact, just by being alive we are already here 100% every moment, every day. With regular mindfulness meditation, we can discover how to intentionally show up in our lives with a new mix: less suffering and more awareness, compassion and wisdom. MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) is a course that has, for 35 years, been helping people establish the behaviors and attitudes needed to live a more grounded, realistic and satisfying life by learning a core set of practices that integrate awareness into everyday life. The course is supported by research, and has benefitted people who suffer with illness, and a variety of stressors in the workplace, social sphere and family relationships. Health care professionals, teachers, criminal justice, political, religious and business leaders have all endorsed MBSR as safe and beneficial.
